2-1-1is continuallystriving to add new resources to the database and making sure existing services are correct. This includes new organizations or just seasonal programs. Right now, 2-1-1 is accepting information for resources to help families and individuals in need during the holiday season. If you have a resource you would like in the database, please fill out the2-1-1 Database Inclusion Form.
Now for the new resources:
The Salvation Army begins taking phone calls for appointments for their Holiday Assistance program on Monday, September 9 . The appointments will be held October 21 through October 25. The Salvation Army Fort Collins provides these services for families living in northern Larimer County, including Fort Collins, Laporte, and Wellington. Dental Connections is designed to help individuals find the dental care they need at a price they can afford. They are a partnership of dentists and local agencies that have helped thousands of people find affordable dental care over the years. This program is available to anyone who is 250% or below Federal Poverty Level with no insurance. Clickherefor more information on how to receive services. ESL Classes -Poudre School District
Poudre School District now provides English as a Second Language Classes at several of the elementary schools in Fort Collins, including: Harris Elementary, Linton Elementary, Eyestone Elementary, Johnson Elementary and Putnam Elementary. These classes are provided at no cost and will provide free childcare and homework help while the classes are in progress. For more information on how to register, clickhere.
GED Classes -The Matthews House
The Matthews House will be hosting free GED classes to anyone 17 or older starting September 3. For more information and how to register, clickhere.
Baby Items -LIONS Ministry
The LIONS Ministry in Berthoud provides new and gently used clothes, baby gear (think car seats, cribs, mattresses, strollers, etc), and toys to families in Northern Colorado who are in a large financial need. Items are for children 4 years and younger (up to size 4T clothes). For more information and how to get in touch with them, clickhere.
In Home Eye Care -House Call Eye Care
House Call Eye Care provides medical evaluation of eye health, treatment of ocular disorders and diseases, prescriptions for eye glasses, and a dispensary for new eye glass frames and lenses, all provided in the patient's home/residence.
