We grow to give.
We believe one young and inspired mind can change the world. The OtterCares Foundation inspires students to become entrepreneurs and philanthropists who create lasting and impactful change in their communities.
All full time employees receive 24 hours of paid volunteer time to use each calendar year (part time employees receive 18 hours and interns receive 8 hours). OtterCares provides dozens of team volunteer opportunities that employees can participate in to utilize this time, and employees are also empowered to seek out volunteer opportunities with causes they are personally passionate about.
Engaging employees in work that contributes to our mission is a primary focus of the OtterCares Foundation. We believe that everyone has something to give and we encourage our employees to give back not only by volunteering, but though any of the “Three Ts” - time, talent or treasure.
This year we held a companywide volunteer day in February where all of our offices were closed and every employee was given the opportunity to volunteer. This was our second year holding this event and we expanded it to include our international offices this year, and also had other local businesses participate by volunteering at event hosting by our Otter Shop in Old Town.
Some of our largest partner organizations that hosted volunteer projects this year include Poudre School District, Thompson School District, Junior Achievement, Boys and Girls Club, BASE Camp, Fort Collins Museum of Discovery, Colorado Youth Outdoors, and many many more.
