United Way of Larimer County presented its second annual Campaign of the Year award to Enterprise Holdings at a celebration event on Thursday, January 28 at the Hilton Fort Collins.
Campaign of the Year is a point-based competition among businesses that host a United Way employee giving campaign and implement United Way of Larimer County best practices, including giving back through corporate volunteerism, hosting special events, and increasing employee participation.
The Fort Collins Damage Recovery Unit for Enterprise Holdings consistently has more than 100 percent participation in its employee giving campaign, as every new hire has the opportunity to donate to United Way. In addition, the group hosts a wide variety of special events to raise money for United Way of Larimer County, including a snack cart, adult bicycle races, a baking contest, pancake breakfast and more. Enterprise Holdings Damage Recovery Unit employees also participate in Make a Difference Day volunteer projects and have hosted a book drive in support of United Way agencies.
“Enterprise Holdings seeks to be an engaged corporate citizen that makes a real difference in the communities where it operates,” said Jeff Jackson, Claim Center Manager at the Enterprise Holdings Damage Recovery Unit in Fort Collins. “Supporting United Way of Larimer County allows us to serve our neighbors, business partners, and customers throughout the community.”
Last year, James Walters of Enterprise Holdings, was awarded the Campaign Coordinator of the Year award. Enterprise Holdings has also been named among the Spirit of Giving Award winners five times.
"The team at Enterprise Holdings here in Fort Collins has created a culture that truly embodies what it means to LIVE UNITED,” said Gordan Thibedeau, President & CEO of United Way of Larimer County. “Even though they have been running a robust campaign for many years, they always find a way to keep things sharp, fresh and engaging for their employees. Thank you to Enterprise Holdings for continuing to inspire us and helping change more lives in Larimer County.”
In addition to the Campaign of the Year, United Way also awarded three Spirit of Giving Awards, the Campaign Coordinator of the Year award, and the Top Contributor Award. The Spirit of Giving Awards recognize companies that have done an outstanding job during their employee giving campaign and demonstrate a high level of community engagement.
