1. Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am married to my wonderful wife, Julie. We have been married for almost 19 years. I have 2 children, Paige (15) attends Fossil and Blake (11) attends Werner. Our family has lived in Fort Collins since 2005.
2. Where do you work?
I am a CPA working as an audit partner for EKS&H LLLP. I have worked for EKS&H for over 21 years.
3. What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about authenticity, abundance and living your life as whole-hearted as you possibly can.
4.What are your hobbies?
I enjoy reading all types of books, spending time with my family (including handling logistics), finding ways to be active, oil painting and anything related to KU basketball.
5.What do you love most about Larimer County?
I love how our community works really hard to keep people connected and values the importance of relationships.
6.How long have you been a United Way donor?
I have been an United Way donor since 1993 and a United Way of Larimer County Donor since 2005.
7.Why do you choose to support your community through United Way?
I choose to use United Way because of the convenience of payroll deductions, the programs they provide for donors, the ability to leverage my gift into a bigger gift, the knowledge they have about the needs of our community and the passion that United Way has for helping people.
I would challenge any business that is not currently running an employee campaign to consider inviting a representative of United Way to come out and discuss changing that. There are many misconceptions that exist about employee campaigns. Successful campaigns look different from organization to organization; they can be large and focused on raising as much money as possible, smaller and focused on simply engaging employees in philanthropy or somewhere in between that lines up with the culture of your organization. It is a great way to get your employees plugged into the needs of their community.
Thanks to Chris and Julie and thousands of other donors like you, we are creating opportunities for a better life for all people in Larimer County.
