The WomenGive program is wrapping up another successful and exciting year! With almost 70 child care scholarships awarded, totaling aproximately $220,000, we were able to support single mothers as they pursue their educational goals in order to become self-sufficient. In addition, we were able to provide scholarship recipients with a total of $5,250 in emergency assistance funds throughout the calendar year.
At this time of the year, WomenGive encourages our members to assist holiday programs that are offered through other organizations in Larimer County. We are so thankful for the assistance that these organizations provide to our recipients and other members in our community over the holidays. Being able to enjoy the holiday season is so valuable to our recipients, and offers them the opportunity to enjoy the season before they jump into their next semester of school.
The application process for Spring is now complete, and we will be awarding scholarships to 28 recipients during the 2015 Spring semester. The application will open again for current recipients for the Summer semester beginning in March. The Fall application process will be open in June, and will be open to new and continuing applicants!
