My name is Dawn Putney and I am the co-owner of Toolbox Creative, a Fort Collins design and branding firm. I ama very proud Mom of two adult kids, Tanner and Ava.
I attended the very first WomenGive luncheon and from the moment I heard about the organization's mission, I was in.
I have been a member for about 9-10 years and am now a Charter Member. My company, Toolbox Creative, is also a Charter Business member.
For me it's all about women helping women. It makes me proud to be part of a group in Northern Colorado composed of women who provide single mothers thechildcare support they need to finish college. This cause is near and dear to my heart. I was one of those Moms. I found the student loans I needed to continue mycollege education, but I couldn't afford the daycare costs for my young son. Iattended for awhile, but had to stop when Icouldn't pay for daycare.
If you want to support a cause that REALLY makes a difference, and a cause where you can actually see the results, WomenGive is it. You can see the difference it makes in the lives of single moms who are working to improve their lives and set up their childrenfor success. This is the cause I value more than any other in Northern Colorado and that is why I support WomenGive.
The most rewarding thing about being a member is seeing the WomenGive graduates and hearing the stories about the difference we have made in the lives of the WomenGive families— that is truly the most rewarding part of being involved. I love the opportunity to be with like-minded women and theenergy the group brings to Northern Colorado. It's a win-win-win.
Thanks to Dawnand the 350+ WomenGive Members, single mothers throughout Larimer County are able to build brighter futures for their families.
