In-Situ hosted a United Way of Larimer County workplace campaign for the first time, and WOW did they have a good time! They kicked off the campaign in August with a United Way Presentation, a Chip and Dip Contest, a Pie in the Face competition, and a Silent Auction!
The Chip and Dip Contest produced three winners, one of which was a delicious jalapeno jelly - yum! Next up was the Pie in the Face Contest and the Silent Auction at their annual company picnic. There were eight willing (or maybe unwilling) participants for the Pie in the Face Competition, who agreed to have a confidential bag placed on their desk where people could pay money to “vote” for whoever they wanted to see get the pie in the face. This brought on an abundance of friendly competition to the campaign. The participant with the most amount of money raised in his or her bag got the pie. Susan Coyne, one of the campaign coordinators was the “winner” and brought the fun with her by dressing up as a clown- thanks Susan!
The Silent Auction brought in donated itemsfrom In-Situ employees, local businesses, and items were brought in by the In-Volvement Team, which is one of many internal committees at In-Situ that hosted the United Way Campaign. The In-Volvement team is also very involved in giving back to the community through philanthropic and volunteer community efforts.
One very popular item in the silent auction was a free vacation day, so instead of just having it as a silent auction item, we allowed anyone interested in purchasing one to do so at a bargain price, which was a hit!
Thank you In-Situ for hosting a very successful first year United Way Campaign and for your corporate gift contribution. Thanks to all In-Situ employees for participating and being so generous with your gifts, and a BIG thank you to the In-Volvement for a job well done! The In-Volvement team members were Megan McDaniel, Jeff Odell, Joe Dille, Steve Sewell, Kim Workman, and Susan Coyne.
