In January, Estes Park Town Administrator, Frank Lancaster, led a workplace campaign thatwon one of United Way's Spirit of Giving Awards at this year's Campaign AppreciationSocial. The award was presented by United Way of Larimer County's President and CEO, Gordon Thibedeau.
The award winning campaign encouraged the Town of Estes Park employees to be a part of the collective impact where each person's donation helps the United Way Partners and Programs to create long term solutions and improve the quality of life for everyone. Many employees also participated in a Service To-Go Project, a Health Benefits Fair and a chili cook-off.
As an incentive, Lancaster challenged Estes Park Mayor Bill Pinkham to pies in the face if 1/3rd of the employees participated in the workplace giving campaign.
The Town of Estes Park employees exceeded their goal and achieved a 40 percent participation rate, which was more than double the participation they have had in any previous year. This year's campaign contribution also doubled the total contributions of last year's campaign.
The campaign was a successful and fun experience that exemplified the positive impact that can occur if everyone participates.
A huge thank you goes out to Town of Estes Park for United Way and our community!
