Membership in United Way of Larimer County's Alexis de Tocqueville Society is granted to philanthropic leaders who invest $10,000 or more annually through our organization. As a donor, you may choose to be recognized in national and local publications, or choose to be listed as an anonymous contributor. There are several ways to give to your United Way of Larimer County to become a member of the Tocqueville Society. Examples include gifts of cash, stocks and securities, or by payroll deduction. Set an example of leadership– Membership with the Alexis de Tocqueville Society is an opportunity to demonstrate your commitment to making a difference in many peoples lives. You have the option of listing your name with many other philanthropists nationwide in the United Way of America Alexis de Tocqueville Society Leadership Book and in local publications, if you desire.
We know you have many charitable interests. As a member of the Alexis de Tocqueville Society, you can achieve all your charitable giving goals through United Way of Larimer County by making an annual commitment, and allowing us to distribute those funds to nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, charitable foundations, or faith-based groups of your choice. You can also use your funds to establish a Philanthropy Fund with us and contact us when you want to make a distribution from that account.
Society members receive an e-mail notification of account activity and receive an account summary through postal mail on a quarterly basis.
If you wish to designate your funds anonymously, we will facilitate your donation with a letter stating the donor's request for anonymity.
A United Way of Larimer County staff member is dedicated to assist you with achieving your charitable giving goals, offer donation consultation and provide feedback on how your gifts are strengthening the community.
The opportunity to meet and interact with Larimer County's leading philanthropists is one exclusive to Alexis de Tocqueville Society members. Members are invited to a variety of special, private events, including a premier annual dinner celebration.
