We Recruit Volunteers for Agencies

The Volunteer Center Program creates a healthier, more connected community by promoting the ethic of service and being the central resource for volunteerism through collaborations.

Here are some ways United Way’s Volunteer Center can help recruit volunteers for your program.

  • Promote your information through VUnit, our online volunteer opportunity search engine. To log into your V-Unit account, contact Jami McMannes for your user ID.  For a copy of the V-Unit Agency Manual, click here.
  • List your volunteer opportunities and one-time event volunteer needs on our website and in our e-blasts. To include your information this resource, please submit your information to VUnit .
  • Through our Board Bank program, volunteers are trained and placed in nonprofit Board of Director positions according to the needs of the nonprofit and also the skill set and interest of the volunteers. Contact Jessica Jackson to register your organization.
