Youth Volunteerism

Community service – it’s more than just a school requirement, resume-builder or pre-requisite for college admission. Doing something good for others is one of the key components of being part of your community.

United Way of Larimer County’s Volunteer Center hopes volunteering will leave you empowered to make volunteering part of your life.  Our team is ready to help you get started.

Youth Cares

Youth Cares is an initiative of the Volunteer Center that seeks to support teachers and youth group leaders in engaging youth in volunteerism and community service. While we all agree that youth volunteer programs benefit both communities and participating youth, it is not always easy for teachers, parents, administrators, and volunteer coordinators to engage youth in meaningful service while keeping up with day-to-day work tasks and assignments. By creating Youth Cares, we hope to provide the tools and resources you need to better facilitate connections with volunteer opportunities that align seamlessly with the mission and goals of your school or club. We are here to help!

Youth Cares is a “one-stop-shop” of resources and information, including:

  • Youth Cares Membership Guide, filled with ideas and local resources to help you develop and grow your youth volunteer engagement program.  Schedule an introductory meeting to obtain a Youth Cares Membership Guide and speak with the Youth Cares Coordinator.
  • Youth Cares Newsletter, giving you the latest information about Youth Cares activities, members’ stories, and upcoming volunteer opportunities.
