Are you interested in seeing your organization's name in the media more often, despite a limited budget for PR and marketing expenses? Join United Way of Larimer County on November 25th for an informational training about obtaining free press coverage. Attendees will learn strategies for promoting their organization's news and events without straining their budgets. This session is available at no charge to Larimer County nonprofit staff.
Maro Zagoras got her start as a lobbyist at the state legislature in Colorado fighting the Tabor Amendment. In 1990, her first press work secured front page coverage from the Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News. Maro got hooked on press shots from that day forward.
With 30 years of experience, Maro is a pioneer in facilitation, serves as a trainer of non-profits and is a federal mediator with the Udall Institute of Conflict Resolution.
Maro has assisted nonprofits for 30 years in Colorado and has been a technical assistance provider on over 30 multi-year statewide foundation initiatives.
Maro is known for making trainings fun and for breaking the skillset into manageable pieces that nonprofits can really use starting the next day.
Maro recently finished her 3rd year providing non-profit executive coaching to leaders for the David and Lucile Packard Foundation. Randy Evetts of Packard Foundation felt Maro "exudes passion for her work and determination to make a difference. Her vast experience in facilitation, mediation, and training allow her to be nimble and respond to whatever situation arises. Her deep concern allows her to build trust and rapport easily and to move people forward toward results."
