We are pleased to announce a new member of the United Way of Larimer County Community Impact team- Carrie Bennett. Carrie will be the new Collective Impact Coordinator, which serves as an important role in establishing positive and upward movement in our community. Carrie is eager to share more about her role here at United Way of Larimer County.
I’m excited to be joining the Community Impact Team. As the Collective Impact Coordinator I’m helping the four Collective Impact Collaborative Working Groups plan for their next three years of work together. Collective Impact efforts bring together cross-sector partners around specific topics (early childhood, keeping kids on track in school, high school graduation, family employment and income, etc.). Over the next few months, I’ll be helping our four working groups to do their best thinking together. This includes clarifying their bold goals and coordinating strategies to reach them. These plans will come together in grant proposals.
When I’m not working at the United Way of Larimer County, I have my own consulting practice. I provide facilitation and mediation services to nonprofits, city and county government, school districts, and nonprofits. I believe that the conversations most need to have are often the most difficult to navigate. I help groups get to the heart of what matters most so they can move ahead with clarity and agreement.
I live in Fort Collins with my husband Drew, a pet freshwater shrimp, and a large family of houseplants. I love skiing, hiking, good coffee, all baked goods, and sleeping in.
Welcome, Carrie! We are thrilled to have you.
