Broadcom Inc. provides employees an opportunity to become familiar with organizations in the community that can use their help on a one-time or ongoing basis. Full time employees are granted four hours of volunteer time per month to participate in company approved volunteer activities with management approval. The United Way of Larimer County, The Courtyard of Loveland, Food Bank for Larimer County, Habitat for Humanity, local school districts, Make a Difference Day, Open Door Mission, Partners Mentoring Youth, Respite Care, SAINT, Saint Jude’s Hospital, Crossroads Safe House, Marine Corps Toys for Tots, House of Neighborly Service, Bike To Work Day, etc.
The Food Bank asked for help collecting Turkeys for Thanksgiving in their first year of the Corporate Turkey Drive. Broadcom Inc. accepted the challenge to collect frozen turkeys across the multiple shifts covering 24 hrs a day 7 days a week by placing a freezer in a common area where employees could donate a turkey. We filled the 15 Cubic Foot freezer twice with 55 turkeys.
