United Way of Larimer County is partnering with local businesses throughout the month of April to collect new or gently used children's books as part of the statewide Colorado Business Reads book drive.
Colorado Business Reads, a statewide book drive that provides thousands of free books to Colorado children and families, was launched by Denver-based EPIC (Executives Partnering to Invest in Children) and the Office of Lt. Governor Donna Lynne. United Way of Larimer County is organizing the book drive in Larimer County through its Colorado Reading Corps program.
Colorado Business Reads runs from April 1 through April 30. Donated books will be distributed to local nonprofits, childcare providers, and other Larimer County organizations that serve children and families, including Cooper Home Learning 4 Living, Teaching Tree Early Childhood Learning Center, The Matthews House, and Estes Park Learning Place.
In 2016, 27 Larimer County businesses participated as collection sites and gathered a total of more than 8,100 books, and this year we hope to exceed that! Get excited for another good year! #coreads
