Follow the Leader: Kaytlyn and Zach's day with Homeless gear
Every year United Way of Larimer County's Make a Difference Day empowers thousands of volunteers to help our community. For this year's Make a Difference Day, we followed two volunteer project leaders (VPL's) Zach and Kaytlyn. They worked hard preparing for this year's Make a Difference Day by coordinating with local businesses, planning pick up points and contacting volunteers. Kaytlyn and Zach along with volunteers from Mueller Pye & Associates CPA collected and sorted hundreds of items for Homeless Gear.
Volunteers play a huge role in making sure Homeless gear is able to gather items they need and ensure individuals facing homelessness have gear to help them survive outdoors. Events such as Make a Difference Day are very important to the community. Even though this event has ended, Homeless gear collects donations year round. The list of donatable items is available here.
