We are excited to announce our new WomenGive Navigator, Hannah Bade, as part of the United Way of Larimer County team. WomenGive is a program of United Way of Larimer County that strives to better the lives of women and their children in our community. Through WomenGive, single mothers are awarded childcare scholarships that provide financial assistance and support as they pursue their education. Hannah's position is a partnership between United Way of Larimer County and Collective Impact partner organization Project Self-Sufficiency. In her new role as WomenGive Navigator, Hannah will serve an important role at United Way of Larimer County, managing the scholarship process for WomenGive. For Project Self-Sufficiency, she will have a case load of single parents who she will work with as they seek to obtain education and job placement. The ultimate goal is to empower single mothers to pursue their educational goals and find a rewarding career path that enables them to provide for their families and achieve economic self-sufficiency.
She is excited to share her story with us.

United Way’s WomenGive Navigator position could not have been a better fit for me or my passions. I have a Bachelors in Social Work and have always been eager to address issues specifically facing women and children. I worked as a youth and family advocate for a domestic violence shelter and as a special education para professional through the school district before coming to United Way of Larimer County. Throughout my work with underprivileged populations, I have recognized that significant barriers to self-sufficiency are child care and education. My joint position through United Way of Larimer County and Project Self-Sufficiency addresses both of those needs. Through case management, community outreach and the WomenGive scholarship process, I hope to alleviate some of the barriers that exist for single parents. I am thrilled to see so many others involved in tackling a massive issue that faces many people in our community.
I was born and raised in Fort Collins and feel lucky to be a part of this community. When I’m not at work, I spend lots of time with my partner and three cats- Ashe, Milo and D’artagnan. I enjoy being outside and physically active. I have always been artistically inclined and my hobbies switch between photography, painting (any type), sewing, and, most recently, jewelry making.
