The Energy Resource Center has Expanded to Loveland
Energy Resource Center has expanded to Northern Colorado.
Energy Resource Center is a nonprofit that has been around for nearly 40 years! The mission of ERC is to improve home energy efficiency, conserve energy, promote health, increase comfort and expand quality of life for Coloradans. The Loveland office is the newest addition to ERC. The organization is ready to start helping homes and families in Larimer, Weld, Broomfield, and Boulder Counties have safe, more comfortable, and energy efficient homes. With the recent expansion to Northern Colorado the ERC serves 21 counties in Colorado and cover over 26,000 square miles.
Energy Resource Center will serve Larimer County out of our Loveland office.
ERC helps income-qualified homeowners and renters make their homes safer, more comfortable and more affordable to live in. The Colorado Energy Office funds the ERC through the Weatherization Assistance Program and allows The ERC to do what they do best – The organization conducts home energy audits and, free of charge for those who qualify, make the recommended home improvements that will keep you warm and safe during the winter. They do all of the work in-house – from the energy audit to the final inspection.
In the last year through the Weatherization Assistance Program, ERC made low-income Colorado homes more…
Safe by installing 1,676 smoke and carbon monoxide alarms;
Efficient by reducing draftiness by more than 25% in the average home and installing 10,694 LED light bulbs
Comfortable by adding insulation to 657 attics. If you lined these attics up side by side, they would stretch for nearly 3 miles!
Automatic Qualifiers for the Weatherization Assistance Program include: LEAP / SNAP / TANF / AND / OAP / SSDI / SSI (Supplemental Security Income)
