Generation United (GU) is one of United Way of Larimer County’s affinity groups dedicated to helping young leaders (aged 21-40) be more involved in the community. GU brings together the passion and philanthropic power of young professionals to make a difference through community engagement, volunteerism, and financial support.
I’m sure you’re thinking, “All of that is great, but why should I become a GU member?” Below are three reasons to get involved:
GU hosts several social events, volunteer projects, and personal and professional development opportunities throughout the year, all of which are free to attend thanks to mission sponsor, Kaiser Permanente.
Membership in GU includes a $500 annual donation to United Way of Larimer County. 100% of the membership cost is considered a charitable contribution and is tax-deductible.
If you’re not ready to take the plunge with the full $500 just yet, there is a 3-year Step-Up Program that allows you to gradually increase your financial support over time.
Your support of GU helps fund United Way of Larimer County’s work to ensure every child and family in our community succeeds, every step of the way, from cradle to career and beyond. Pooled with the contributions of other young professionals and United Way donors, your gift is a smart and strategic way to make a difference, not just today, but for years to come. Together we can accomplish more than what each of us can do alone.
