United Way of Larimer County announces the finalist for the Vice President of Impact position, Iván Diáz (he, him, él), and invites the community to join in a final interview on Thursday, July 22nd at 11 a.m.
Community members will be invited to ask questions during the interview, and may also submit questions in advance through the registration in the link below. Spanish language interpretation will be provided.

For over 14 years, Iván Diáz (he, him, él ) has served as a noteworthy leader in both higher education systems and non-profit agencies. In his most recent role as the Executive Director of Youth and Family Connections (YFC), a non-profit supporting youth and their families with truancy support and community resources, he maintained and transitioned services remotely during COVID19, prioritized diversity, equity, and inclusion training and practice implementation, strengthened and built new partnerships and donor relations,
re-imagined YFC marketing, and strategically engaged K-12 and higher education partners into the YFC Board.
Prior to his time at YFC, Iván served as the Director of Student Access and Enrollment at Morgan Community College overseeing student success, enrollment, and accessibility support services, and at the I Have A Dream Foundation of Boulder County as a Program Director and Director of College & Careers Program serving the Lafayette community in developing afterschool and summer programs. He also has served as an Academic Advisor and Instructor at Aims Community College, an Admissions Counselor at the University of Northern Colorado (UNC), and Director of the Boys & Girls Club in Weld County. Iván received his Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in 2013, and Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2008 both from the UNC.
As a first-generation student of color from a working-class background, Iván’s leadership is influenced by his values of educación (education), comunidad (community), and familia (family). He demonstrates his success as a leader through authentic and collaborative relationships, culturally responsive practices, and strategic decision-making. Iván is committed to creating transformative, sustainable change with and for the individuals and families that United Way of Larimer County serves.
In his spare time, Iván enjoys spending time with his partner and three children. He also enjoys watching his kids play sports, the outdoors, music, art, cultura (culture), and is a professional photographer.
