Employees have awakened a desire amongst the bank's customers and fellow employees to engage themselves in literacy development. Using books donated by customers, employees were able to take those books to Teaching Tree Early Childhood Learning Center and read to the children, helping to ignite passion for reading amongst preschoolers.
Employees and clients worked with 8 different nonprofits in 2015, completing a wide range of projects including garden clean-up, cleaning, organization, a musical instrument drive, building projects and blanket making. The number of Headwaters Realty volunteers have increased exponentially, from 29 to 143 volunteers in just one year, resulting in valuable 494 hours given back to the community.
RLR views volunteerism as a primary objective and a core value of its business. In 2015, the firm's employees reported over 450 hours of volunteer time in assisting 28 non-profit agencies in Fort Collins, Loveland, Greeley and Cheyenne, WY. RLR's volunteer program achieved 90% employee participation in 2015, and has consistently achieved at least 90% participation in the program since its inception.
