Since 1996, employees at The Group, Inc. have raised more than $3.4 million in support of United Way of Larimer County. During this year’s campaign, which ran in October, “Groupies” pledged more than $230,000 in support of the Larimer County community, making them United Way’s Top Contributor for the 2015-16 campaign year.
In addition, employee participation increased this year from 48 percent to 93 percent, which is a true reflection of the organization’s dedication to supporting the nonprofit community.
Groupies have volunteered and donated to more than 20 of United Way of Larimer County’s Community Impact Partners. On average each staff volunteers more than 100 hours annually, which collectively amounts to more than 21,600 hours each year.
Having run a campaign for more than 10 years, The Group knows how to keep things fresh and engaging for its employees. This year, Lisa Hite, the company’s campaign coordinator, organized a new pumpkin decorating contest between the branches that was wildly successful.
Furthermore, more than 20 Groupies are Charter Members of United Way of Larimer County’s WomenGive program that helps local women achieve economic self-sufficiency by granting childcare scholarships.In addition, over the last five years, The Group, Inc. has played a significant role in United Way of Larimer County’s nationally-recognized Make A Difference Day efforts with employees organizing local volunteer projects such as food sorting and distribution, city clean ups, Habitat for Humanity builds, and children’s murals.
