My wife, Teresa, and I moved from Houston, Texas to Loveland, Colorado and opened our CPA firm on Halloween Day of 2008. For the past six years, it has been all about the treats of living in Colorado. The only trick was learning (the hard way) about the need for a 4-wheel drive vehicle to navigate US 34 in the winter time between Loveland and Estes Park.
Teresa and I are passionate aboutourlove of the arts and the economic revitalization of Downtown Loveland. From our apartment on 4th Street, we've attended events and become active in the Rialto Theater Center and the Artspace campus at the historic Feed & Grain site.
My hobbies are hiking, climbing and snowshoeing all over Rocky Mountain National Park. My dream is to become a volunteer Park Ranger wearing a “Smoky the Bear” hat!
The question should be “what's not to love?” We have the best of both worlds - majestic mountains and the wide open plains.
I haven't been a donor for very long. Having the opportunity to join the Board, get involved in the Community Impact initiative and meet the outstanding staff has made me a true believer in United Way.
As a business owner, the overall Community Impactinitiative just makes sense. Good stewardship over limited resources and accountability for achieving positive outcomes is the new business model for impactful philanthropy. The fact that United Way of Larimer Countyis leading the way makes my volunteer time both valuable and fulfilling.
Thanks to Paul and Teresa and thousands of other donors likethem, we are creating opportunities for a better life for all people in Larimer County.
