Our Focus Areas

At United Way of Larimer County, we invest in proven, community-rooted strategies that expand opportunity and build long-term stability. Our work centers on four key areas that support children, strengthen families, and create the foundation for lifelong success from birth through high school and beyond.

When families are stable, children can thrive. We invest in programs that support housing, child care access, workforce development, and basic needs—meeting families where they are and partnering with them to build long-term stability.

Early learning builds the foundation for lifelong success. We increase access to quality child care, parent support, and early literacy so more children in Larimer County start kindergarten confident and ready to succeed.

Reading is a gateway to future learning. We support in-school tutoring and access to books at home, helping students build strong literacy skills and stay on track in school.

Graduation opens doors to adulthood. We fund programs that keep students engaged in school, connected to mentors, and exploring career paths, supporting more young people graduate ready for what’s next.
