United Way of Larimer County unites our community to support the success of local children, youth, and their families. We invest in four building blocks of lifelong success: family financial stability, kindergarten readiness, literacy proficiency, and high school graduation.
A core strategy to advance these goals is place-based initiatives like Community Hubs: shared spaces where families can access coordinated resources, build connections, and experience a sense of belonging under one roof. By aligning local partners and centering community voice, we’re creating lasting, equitable change for children, youth, and families across Larimer County.
We are seeking passionate, engaged board members to help guide the next chapter of our work, deepening our focus on children and youth. The approximate time commitment, depending on role on the board, is 6-10 hours per month. Committee member time commitment varies but is typically 3-5 hours per month.
We welcome candidates with expertise that can strengthen our board, committees, and overall impact. Expertise in the following areas is especially helpful:
- Early childhood and K–12 education
- Accounting and finance (CPA)
- Law and legal services
- Behavioral health
- Real estate and development
- Public policy or lobbying focused on children and youth
We are also committed to countywide representation and especially encourage applicants from Loveland, Berthoud, Wellington, Windsor, and mountain communities honoring our role as a United Way for all of Larimer County.
If your skills, experiences, or passions align with our mission, we encourage you to apply even if your background doesn’t match the listed experience or regions. We value diverse perspectives and are committed to building a board that reflects the full strength of our community. Together, we can create a Larimer United where all children have the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
