What drives Nutrien’s commitment to giving back to the local community?
Nutrien strives to meaningfully contribute to the communities, globally and locally, where we operate. We collaborate with community partners who share our values and approach. Driven by Nutrien’s Sustainability strategy and inspired by our commitment to the UN Sustainable Develop Goals, Nutrien supports community initiatives that align with our four focus areas: Sustainable Agriculture, Environmental Stewardship, Inclusive Industry and Resilient Communities.
How do Nutrien employees benefit from volunteering and giving back?
Through our Matching Gift and Employee Volunteer programs, our employees are empowered to give back to the causes they care about most while supporting Nutrien’s purposefeeding the future, on a personal level. Volunteering is linked to many personal and mental health benefits as well – including increased self-esteem and motivation, a stronger social network and reduced stress. Through authentic and collaborative community engagement, we’re proud to contribute to the growth of strong and healthy communities where our people live and work.
What suggestions does Nutrien have for other companies seeking to get involved with their local communities and volunteerism?
What has worked for us is developing an impact-driven strategy for our community relations and investments, that aligns with our company purpose and culture and supports our business goals.
