In today’s fast-paced world, families juggle countless responsibilities while striving to provide the best possible future for their children. Yet, navigating the complex web of essential services—from child care to mental health support—can often feel like an overwhelming challenge. That’s where the Loveland Youth Campus comes in— a transformative initiative at the heart of United Way of Larimer County’s work to support increased access and affordability for child care, thereby strengthening communities.

At the core of the Loveland Youth Campus is a powerful vision: to create a centralized hub where families can easily access a comprehensive range of essential services. From high-quality child care and after-school programs to vital resources like mental health support and utility assistance, the campus is designed to address families’ diverse needs efficiently and effectively.

But the Loveland Youth Campus is more than just a building—it’s a testament to the power of collaboration and community-driven initiatives. Led by United Way of Larimer County, Teaching Tree Early Childhood Learning Center, Boys and Girls Club of Larimer County, and the Early Childhood Council of Larimer County and funded through the tremendous generosity of corporate leaders and foundations who understand the vital role child care plays in developing a healthy workforce and thriving economy, the campus represents a united effort to ensure that local families can access the support they need to thrive.

There are significant gaps in child care access. More than 4 out of 5 families do not have access to licensed childcare for their infants, and 3 out of 5 families with toddlers cannot find licensed care. By addressing these critical shortages, the Loveland Youth Campus aims to bridge the gap between the need for and the supply of child care, ensuring more families have the opportunity to access these vital services.

The impact of the Loveland Youth Campus extends far beyond its walls. By providing accessible child care and after-school programs, the campus enables parents to participate fully in the workforce, boosting the region’s economic vitality. Moreover, the campus serves as a catalyst for future community hubs across Larimer County, fostering a sense of belonging and care in every neighborhood.

As we look ahead to the future, the journey of the Loveland Youth Campus is just beginning. With plans to expand and replicate its model, the campus is paving the way for a brighter, more equitable future for families across the region. Equipped with dedicated resource navigators and a wide array of services, these hubs will support families, strengthen partnerships, and drive positive change for years to come.

But we can’t do it alone. We need your support to continue this vital work of supporting families, strengthening communities, and driving positive change. Your donation to United Way of Larimer County will directly impact the lives of families in Larimer County, ensuring that every individual has access to the resources they need to thrive.
