United Way of Larimer County (UWLC) is thrilled to have four new staff members on our Team! All four joined our team this past 2 months and are already hitting the ground running in their new roles.

Olivia Kail (she/her) is our new Community Impact Manager. Olivia grew up in Connecticut and Denver; she is a two-time grad from CSU and has lived in Fort Collins for the past 10 years. She comes equipped with a graduate degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education and work experience is in higher education, most recently working with federally-funded grant programs at a community college. On her free time she loves trail running, watching the birds in her backyard, working on her stand-up comedy bits that she may or may not ever deliver to a crowd, and spending time with loved ones and loved dogs.

Justin Burry (he/him) is our new Individual Giving Director. Justin moved to out to Colorado in 2014 and subsequently volunteered at a variety of nonprofit arts organizations while maintaining a full time job in the tech industry. He’s only recently pivoted entirely to the nonprofit world by taking on the role of Director of Individual Giving here at the United Way of Larimer County and will also be completing a graduate program at Colorado State University in nonprofit management in December. Most of Justin’s free time is spent keeping up with his 2-year old son. However, when things get really quiet around the house, you might find him playing music, reading, or painting.

Josh Hernandez (he/him) is our new HR Intern. Joshua was born and raised in Loveland, Colorado and is currently a senior at Colorado State University studying Industrial Organizational Psychology. With this background of study, Joshua is committed in improving HR practices for the goal in making the workplace better and more inclusive among all employees. When he’s not indulged with studying and prepping for exams, Joshua loves to spend time with family, attend concerts with friends, and study languages.

Kat Steele (she/her) is our new Technical Project Manager. Kat moved to Fort Collins from Texas last Summer and loves it here. She has been a system administrator and project manager since 2007. She currently lives in a tiny house with her two cats Willow and Dobby. On her free she likes to ride road, mountain, and gravel bikes all over the country and teach beginner mountain bike skills clinics.
